I am a tutor with expertise in Biology and Environmental Studies. I have experience primarily teaching elementary through high school students in settings that include natural history museums, zoological parks, and environmental conservation centers. I have taught topics such as biodiversity, conservation, watershed science, coastal ecology, and the adaptations of plants and animals. I specialize in tutoring Biology, as I believe it is my most competent subject, and I am best able to provide a strong educational experience here. I feel that the study of these topics is well suited to a hands-on approach, encouraging questions/exploration, as the world of natural sciences is best viewed up close and in person. My passion for these subjects comes from my own fascination with the biological world we live in, and I believe that I pass that passion down to my students through my teaching. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology at Earlham College. I then obtained my Master of Science in Environmental Studies, with a focus on Environmental Education from Antioch University - New England Graduate School. In my free time, I enjoy spending time taking peaceful walks in nature, through wooded areas and along waterfronts. I also enjoy bicycling, reading science fiction action-adventure novels, and sometimes playing tennis.
