I am enrolled at Westchester Community College and am currently pursuing my associate degree in computer science. Immediately upon graduating, I plan on applying to a four-year university and receiving my bachelor's degree in the same field. For a large portion of my life, I've always had a leadership role in some form or another. Whether volunteering at various school-related groups or working officially as a tutor, I have always enjoyed being able to use my own skills and experience to help make a difference in someone's life. While I've helped a number of individuals improve their understanding of high school and college-level math courses, my favorite subject to teach is computer science. There's something fascinating about computers and technology, and I love being able to share my own interests in these fields with people who also like to learn more about programming and data sciences. When teaching, I like to find a way to tie in my own experiences into the lesson, so that I'm able to teach students in a way that they can relate to. I believe that a good education is one that teaches you how to use skills practically out in the world - not just in the classroom setting.
